About Me

Hey there,

It's me, Tamara! Content creator of the Tulle and Tuxedo Blogspot and Instagram pages. I'm so excited that you've landed on my platform and I hope you enjoy the journey.

I'm a graduate of Johnson and Wales University (go wildcats!) with a BSc in Entertainment and Event Management with a double concentration in Sales, Marketing & Events and Weddings & Ceremonies. My passion for events began at the age of 16 when I assisted a wonderful team of young women to plan our Form 5 graduation (prom). In 2011 I packed my bags and hopped on a one way flight to the city of dreams... Miami! During my time at JWU I worked part time as a student assistant in the campus events department. I am beyond grateful for my boss ladies, Claudinne, Roxanne and Kamaria who literally helped me get my foot in the door. During my time at college I was afforded the opportunity to volunteer at countless events with some of the best planners in South Florida. I completed my BSc with an internship at United Way of Miami Dade where I was able to work alongside a great team of professionals for their Veritage Events.

In 2015 I decided to yet again, book another one way ticket back to my homeland...Sweet Sweet T&T.

After deciding to take a couple months off and immediately being bored out of my mind I started applying for jobs. Luckily after just a few months I landed my dream job as an Event Coordinator at Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre and three years later I landed my dream promotion to a Wedding Sales Executive. My time at the hotel was nothing short of amazing. I've met so many wonderful people and learned much more than I could have ever imagined.

Shameless brag: During my time at Hilton I took a mini vacay and flew back to the other motherland (Miamiiiiiii) to volunteer at a bridal road show with.... drum roll.... David Tutera and Preston Bailey. #FANGIRL

And.... that brings us to today! I'm currently an MBA student focusing on building my own brand.

Many thanks to each and every one of you for supporting my blog, and stay tuned for more to come.

With love,
Tulle and Tuxedo
a.k.a Tamara Armogam
